If you know me at all, you know that I have a dog. His name is Hermes and he’s turning 2 years old today! We baked him little pupcakes (cupcakes that dogs can eat) and sang Happy Birthday to him. (This is Serious Business, okay? I don’t even do this much for my own birthday, to be quite honest.) I think I can kind of understand now why parents throw lavish parties for their 1 year old babies when the baby probably wouldn’t remember the party anyways. It’s just Important.
Welcome to 2017! I don’t usually make resolutions, but I would like to take better care of myself this year and also remember to blog more (oops).
2016 was full of ups and downs. I’d like to share some of my personal highlights. Continue reading
This post is all about people that I respect and admire. Some of them are people I’ve known personally for a while, and others are people I follow on the internet. This is, by no means, everyone that I admire, but here are some people/websites/organizations who deserve a plug or two. I’ll probably do more posts like this in the future, because hey, plugs and shoutouts to people who deserve them are always good.
We just adopted a new dog baby! His name is Hermes, he’s about 6 months old, and we adopted him on April 1st. We’re not quite sure what he is, exactly, but it’s likely some sort of terrier mix, possibly with some schnauzer sprinkled in as well? (Look at those eyebrows and the cute little beard…)
He’s such an amazing little thing. I would have written about him sooner, but I honestly just couldn’t put into words how much he means to me. (I was also kind of lazy. Mreh.) If you’re interested in more pictures of him, he has his own Instagram!
A project was suggested for me recently: over the course of however long it takes, list 1000 things that you’re grateful for. A the time it was suggested, I was almost asleep, and I’ve gone back and thought about it quite a few times, but have never really taken the time to sit down and really think about it. (If you know what I mean.)
Isn’t that how things work in life? We have a list of things we want to accomplish, start, or look into, and every day, we glance over at the list and think, “not today, but maybe tomorrow.”
So here are 5 things I’m grateful for. A start.
